October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!🎀

Each October, we come together to raise awareness about breast cancer, honor survivors, and remember those we have lost. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, but with education, early detection, and access to care, lives can be saved.

At Community Health Services (CHS), we are committed to:
• Promoting Awareness: Encouraging conversations about breast health and the importance of regular self-exams and screenings.
• Supporting Early Detection: Reminding our community that mammograms and early testing are vital in finding breast cancer at its most treatable stage.
• Providing Compassionate Care: Standing with patients and families every step of the way, offering guidance, resources, and support.

Amid the SNAP EBT crisis this month, our lines at the bi-weekly food pantry are longer and shelves are bare. We are also working to provide hundreds of Hartford families with a warm turkey dinner and all the fixings. Our Inner City Dental Mission this past September 20th was a tremendous success — and it’s all thanks to the incredible volunteers who gave their time, skills, and heart to serve our community. 💙
