Thanks to a remarkable $660,000 gift from the Robert R. Rosenheim Foundation, we’re expanding the Therapeutic Paws Program at Hartford Hospital! This support will help us bring more smiles and healing through pet therapy, invest in our teams, and extend animal-assisted care to students at the Grace S. Webb School. Together, we’re creating moments of hope and making a difference in our community. 🐾🩵

Hartford Hospital’s Pet Therapy Program is inviting dog owners to a special Pet Therapy Simulation Event!

This unique session gives you and your dog a chance to experience what it’s like to volunteer in a hospital setting—learn about the environment, meet our team, and see how pet therapy brings comfort and healing to patients, visitors, and colleagues.

To participate in the simulation, your dog must be between 1-9 years of age and have basic obedience training and current vet records. After completion of the simulation, should you choose to apply to volunteer, you must have pet therapy certification.

Thursday, Nov. 6, 12 to 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For more information contact Eileen Pelletier, Director of Volunteer Services at Eileen.Pelletier@hhchealth.org.

Hartford Hospital is so grateful for all of our Advanced Practice Providers!

Have you seen a PA or an APRN?

Then you've seen an APP – an Advanced Practice Provider. APPs are highly trained medical professionals who have advanced degrees and clinical training that allow them to diagnose, treat and prescribe, just like physicians.

They are especially vital in filling care gaps, improving access, and supporting team-based care modes. At Hartford HealthCare, APPs care for thousands of patients every year.

Join us in celebrating APPs this week. Drop a 'Thank You' below!

Swinging for a cause! ⛳

Thanks to the incredible support at the 36th Annual Hartford Hospital Auxiliary Golf Tournament, nearly $500K was raised to enhance patient safety with new nuclear medicine technology.

The funds will be used to purchase an automatic infusion system which significantly reduces the radiation exposure for our patients and colleagues.

We're grateful for our generous community, dedicated sponsors, and amazing team who joined us for a fantastic day out on the course at the Hartford Golf Club! A huge thank you to all of our partners, sponsors, and participantsWe would also like to thank the Hartford Hospital Auxiliary, including Lori Flaks, Kim Conrad, Patti Maciag, Marri Fairbanks and Julie Corroon. 💙
