This weekend, Hartford was proud to welcome women, families, and partners for an afternoon focused on education, wellness, and support across every stage of life. The Women's Health Community Event featured meaningful health conversations, expert talks, a panel discussion, on-site screenings, and opportunities to connect with community partners.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped create a space rooted in learning, empowerment, and care. Together, we’re continuing to strengthen access to trusted health information and support for women 💜

Spotlighting Joanne Wright 🖤♥️

Joanne brings kindness and positivity to Hartford Hospital every single week. Her visits to D1N mean so much to patients and staff alike, and she has a special way of making everyone feel comfortable and cared for.

This past year, Joanne took her generosity even further by gifting fleece blankets to patients during the holidays – adding warmth when it mattered most. Beyond D1N, she also dedicates her time to the Institute of Living, making a lasting difference across our hospital community.

In honor of Doctors’ Day, the Hartford Hospital Medical Staff donated $10,000 to benefit the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV), which leads a statewide network of organizations focused on advocacy, outreach, and education.

This donation supports CCADV’s mission to eliminate living in fear and underscores Hartford Hospital’s commitment to partnering with community leaders who advance policy, advocate for victims, and raise awareness to address domestic violence as a serious public health issue.
