Hey…just a little reminder 🩷you’re not supposed to figure out postpartum on your own.
There’s actually a whole team that can support you while you heal and adjust! You don’t have to tough it out or do it all solo. You deserve support, care, and people in your corner.
Send this to a mama who needs the reminder 💫 and tag your postpartum team!🩷

Baby Girl Garces has made her arrival 💕

Even though her ego may be bruised by requiring an epidural during labor, she is so proud to have reached her VBAC goal!

Here are a few things that she learned from the birth of her little lady:

🌿It’s valuable to have a doula even if you have an epidural

🌿You’re not weak or less than for pivoting your birth plan

🌿Birthing in a hospital unmedicated is hard. There are more opportunities for you to lose focus

🌿Sometimes an epidural is needed to allow your body to relax, make cervical changes, and stay present for your birth

She has been so blessed to have so many patients, peers, friends, and family cheer her on during her pregnancy and early postpartum. Mary hopes that to take what she has learned from her VBAC experience and continue to help all mamas in the clinic and in their birthing space with even more wisdom and empathy than before ✨

After birth, your body goes through a huge healing process. Vaginal bleeding (lochia) is expected and typically gradually decreases over about 6 weeks. You may notice small clots, color changes, and even a temporary increase with activity.
But some signs mean it’s time to check in with your provider right away.

🚩 Call your provider or seek care if you have:
• Bleeding that soaks through a pad in less than an hour
• Large clots (bigger than a golf ball)
• Bleeding that suddenly becomes much heavier
• Foul-smelling discharge
• Feeling dizzy, faint, weak, or having blurry vision

Your body just did something incredible. Knowing what’s normal can help you recover with more confidence—and catch problems early if they arise.
Save this post for later or share it with a postpartum friend. 🤍

✨As pelvic floor PTs, we a lot of hands-on work to the back, hips, adductors, and pelvic floor—and it makes such a difference for our pregnant mamas.

Here’s some of what we address hands-on for birth prep:
💛 Back: eases that heavy, achy tension and improve mobility for better breathing
💛 Hips: helps you move better and create more space for baby to move and descend
💛 Adductors: supports pelvic opening
💛 Pelvic floor: teaches the muscles how to relax (the real MVP of labor)

The goal?
A body that feels open, mobile, and ready to work with you during birth! Reach out today if you’re interested in birth prep PT!📱💻
