Throwback to some of my favorite upcycle projects i ever made and one of my favorite baby patterns too!
This is the peak a boo romper pattern with some customizations I did.
For the pink one I added a hood and the fold over footie/mittens and for the blue one I added an elastic front waist and ruffle sleeves and a bow plus made it crop pant style. I absolutely love these and can't wait to make some more!

I'm also still accepting custom orders for the envelope style baby rompers if anyone is interested. (Starting at $25 for up-cycle fabrics)

All I have left to finish these super comfy linen summer shorts is to add the buttonholes and buttons at the waist and potentially snaps or buttons for the pockets.....
The second picture is the pair I copied them from and I think I like my pair better! ❀️

What do you think? Should I add snaps to the pockets?

I had a most favorite pair of shorts that was a little big plus it wasn't a natural fabric so I used the pair to make a pattern and then created these from some linen I purchased awhile back for a VERY reasonable price.

I love the cuff on these! I also increased the size of the pockets to make them large enough to hold a πŸ”« just in case lol. I also added some elastic to the back of the waistband to make them tighter in case I decide to carry my pew pew in the pockets! Thus the reason I'm thinking of adding a snap to the front pocket. πŸ˜‰

These were like at least a size and a half too big after I cut them out (cause I tend to cut out larger just in case lol and tend to use small seam allowances) and started on the front zipper so I added some darts all the way around to tighten them to my size. They're still a teeny bit baggy in the front thigh but they're super comfy and not too tight and perfect for the summer! 🌞 Plus linen is super airy and is great for the skin and your health!

I have a lot more of this linen fabric so if you would like to order a custom pair of summer shorts like these or a summer linen house dress (which I'm making for myself next) just reach out and I'd be happy to work with you to create you a perfect pair!

Been working on some pattern drafting the past two mornings....

I love knowing how to draft custom patterns based on measurements!
It makes for such better fitting garments!

This is a tutorial of a lovely matching Easter outfit I made for Kayla Rose Sullivan and her babies. It turned out super cute and hopefully will fit them despite no fittings not measurements. I normally get measurements ahead of time but decided to just wing it.

Looking at photos now I'm thinking the top might be a bit big for her little guy but better a little bigger than too small... if you'd like to place a similar order for your littles definitely reach out to me to get on my schedule!

I have been working on creating a few patterns the past few days since it is something fairly quick I can do (when I'm just copying things) and when I don't have a ton of time I'm a row to do much sewing.

If you have a most favorite article of clothing you would like me to make a pattern of and copy for you definitely reach out and let's chat to see if I can help you create another most favorite item new that you can keep wearing over and over long after the original has fallen apart! 😊 🧡 πŸͺ‘

As for the patterns I just made for myself.
These are five of my most worn favorite lounge clothes I made pattern copies of and I'm working on cutting out the second one for now.
First i made a pair of super comfy panties second now I'm working on a front zipper pair of shorts with cuffs and front and back pockets. I'm going to make these out of linen. Hoping they're my new favorite summer shorts once I'm done.
I made two other patterns for my next most favorite pairs of panties one I plan to sew in organic cotton in close to my favorite color Super comfy. ❀️
I also made a pattern for one of my favorite summer tank top/blouses that can be dressed up or down and is very flattering on me imo.
Last is a pattern for my favorite pair of bike shorts for under dresses and nighttime.
As I have time I'll be making samples of these to make sure the patterns came out as intended and to have extra copies of my favorite clothes.

My latest up-cycle project!

The top was too little for brother so now little sister has a cute summer dress out of it.

What would you have turned this top into?

This athletic top was too long and too tight. So I trimmed off the excess on the bottom created triangle inserts for the sides seam ripped open the side seams and inserted the strips I made from the bottom.
Then I serged it all back closed and finished the hem.
It fit and looked a lot better after that simple alteration.
😊

Be sure to be careful...
Note: it is possible to put tiny holes in your fabric using this method unless you're super careful ESPECIALLY if the fabric is delicate or thin...
Which is why I recommend stopping immediately upon feeling resistance to clear the threads and make sure you're just ripping threads and not fabric.

What are your favorite sewing hacks and tips?

Here I'm Serging the sleeve onto a custom top for a customer. 😊

And then emptying the serger thread tray from the last few days/week of serging...

Do you see the makeshift hump-jumper?πŸ‘€

Can you guess what a hump jumper is for❔❔
