Please help us congratulate our first Resident of the Month for 2026 - Mr. Wendell Bannister! Enjoy learning a little bit about Mr. Bannister below.

Mr. Bannister was born in 1942 in belton, South Carolina to Leon and Rebecca Bannister. He grew up on a farm and graduated from Belton High School. After graduation, he went on to achieve a doctorate degree at Luther Rice Seminary. He also served in the National Guard and was a supervisor at Monsanto Mills in Greenwood, S.C.

Mr. Wendell married Helen Phillips from Honea Path after meeting her when coming home from the National Guard with her brother. They have been married 64 years and have 2 sons.

Mr. Wendell's favorite vacation spot was Gatlinburg and when asked what legacy he wants to leave he said "love God and your family and everything else will take care of itself."

Mr. Wendell, we are honored to care for you at HHR!
