It may not be obvious at first but if you start to listen in and learn, you will find that you can pick up on your baby’s needs quickly. For now, it’s okay to give it a guess and don’t stress if you must move to the next possibility. You are learning. They are growing. Create calm and your baby will respond.

When I started out as a mom I definitely didn’t have this, but eventually I found mine or maybe they found me. It took time, it took prayer and it took me reaching out. Be a giver and find those that resonate with you. It may flux over the years and that is okay too, but having someone you can do not just the big things with but even the mundane, matters.

Doula work is not always time with clients and sweetheart newborns. Some days it is a grind. The administration end of business may not be my favorite but just like we often have to in the thick of life, I choose to look at the big picture. What I’m building is reach, it is support and it is love. I can only hope that is evident in all we do here, even in days like this🫶
