If you’ve ever tried protein ice cream and ended up bloated, chalky, or just disappointed… I get it.

Most recipes use whey or heavy dairy and if you’re even a little sensitive, you feel it.

So I tested these out 👇

4 Ninja Creami ice creams that are:
• dairy-free or lactose-free
• made with whey-free protein
• actually creamy (not icy)
• and still hit 30g+ protein

Not going to lie—
they’re not super sweet on their own
I added a drizzle of honey and it made all the difference

Full recipes + macros are on my site 🤍

Instead of guessing… I look at patterns.

One of the most common ones I see on HTMAs is a low sodium to potassium (Na/K) ratio.

This ratio is often associated with how your body is responding to stress.

When it’s low, it can show up as:
• constant fatigue (even after rest)
• feeling burnt out or “wired but tired”
• cravings for salt or sugar
• trouble losing weight despite doing “everything right”
• low motivation or sluggish metabolism

This isn’t about blaming one mineral—
it’s about your body being under-supported during stress.

One simple place to start at home:
→ stop fearing salt
→ support your meals with quality minerals
→ hydrate with intention (not just plain water all day)

I personally use Redmond Real Salt (Ancient Fine Sea Salt) because it contains naturally occurring trace minerals—
a small, simple way to start supporting what your body may be lacking.

But instead of guessing… we can test.

HTMA gives a deeper look at your mineral patterns so we can support your metabolism, stress response, and energy strategically.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, exhausted, or like your body isn’t responding…

Most people assume gut bacteria are the problem.

But sometimes they’re actually a signal of something deeper.

In this client case, her stool test showed opportunistic bacteria.

At first glance it looked like a gut infection issue.

But when we integrated:

• bloodwork
• HTMA mineral patterns
• surgical history
• metabolic markers

A different story emerged.

Her gut imbalance appeared to be secondary to metabolic stress and digestive changes after gallbladder removal.

This is why looking at the full picture matters when interpreting lab tests.

The microbiome reflects the environment of the body.

And sometimes the most effective approach isn’t attacking bacteria right off the bat…

It’s supporting the systems that allowed the imbalance to happen.

Educational case study. Identifying details removed.

A short walk after dinner is one of my favorite habits.

It’s simple, free, and incredibly supportive for metabolism.

When you move after a meal, your muscles can use circulating glucose for energy. That helps bring blood sugar back toward baseline more smoothly.

You don’t need anything intense, just 10–20 minutes of walking can help.

Hope that helps! 🫶

A day in the life… aka all the roles my clients assign me daily 😂

ALL out of love for my clients though 🫶

Cred for the inspo because this trend is painfully accurate 😂

If you’ve been feeling like your sugar cravings are louder lately… this is your reminder:

It’s not about discipline.

It’s about regulation.

Between the holidays and Valentine’s Day, most of us never really gave our blood sugar (or our nervous system) a reset. So if you’re reaching for chocolate at 3pm or wanting something sweet every night — that doesn’t mean you lack willpower.

It usually means something underneath needs support.

In this carousel, I’m breaking down the most common root causes I see in clients:

• Blood sugar swings
• Undereating
• Low protein
• Stress + cortisol
• Hormone shifts
• Sleep deprivation
• Habit loops

Cravings are communication.

When we stop trying to “be stronger” and start getting curious instead, everything changes.

If this resonates, Part 1 is now live inside The Roots Collective where I go deeper into identifying your specific trigger.

And next week in Part 2, I’ll walk you through how to actually reduce cravings — without extremes or cutting everything out.

Comment “ROOTS” if this hit home and you would like more info!

Change doesn’t usually fail because of a lack of discipline.

It gets stuck because we’re already overwhelmed before we even start.

This is a planning tool I use personally and with clients to create space before change begins — before the workout routine, before the nutrition plan, before the protocol.

One focused block.
One clear stop.
No pressure to do everything at once.

Save this for the weeks when planning feels harder than the plan itself
