UPDATE:

As previously stated, a safe and nurturing environment is important to us at Hartwell Learning Academy. So is accountability and transparency. On Friday, July 26, The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning visited our facility in response to the incident that occurred on Monday, July 22nd. They found our immediate corrective action plan sufficient in the prevention of a repeated occurrence. Hartwell Learning Academy was and is deemed in GOOD STANDING in providing childcare services in the State of Georgia.

We send our sincere thanks to those who supported us in navigating through this deeply regretful event. Thank you for knowing, beyond a shadow of doubt, that we would never intentionally harm any child. Thank you for locking arms with us.

The request for childcare services continues to pour in along with inquiries to join our amazing staff. We are thrilled. God is Great.

We understand the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children here at Hartwell Learning Academy., and we regret any discomfort that the incident have caused in our daycare family & our larger community.

Please rest assured that we have taken the proper precautions, including upgrading our security systems & adding additional child safely locks to every door in the center!! We have also released the employee that was on duty during that time.

We deeply regret the incident but more importantly we are grateful that everyone is safe.
