If you missed it on the radio, here’s your chance to catch it! 🎙️

Amanda and Kelsey from our Therapy Department stopped by KHND The Mix and had a great conversation about women’s health, pelvic floor therapy, and overall wellness. Real talk, helpful info, and a few things you might not even realize therapy can help with!

Take a listen and hear how they’re helping patients feel stronger, more comfortable, and more confident every day. 💪

Big thank you to KHND for having us on—we always enjoy sharing what’s happening here! 📻

💙 April is Occupational Therapy Month 💙

This month, we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the incredible work of our Occupational Therapy team here at St. Aloisius!

A big thank you to:
✨ Sheri, MS, OTR/L
✨ Robin, COTA/L
✨ Kelsey, COTA/L
✨ Carrie, OTR/L

Your dedication, compassion, and creativity make a difference in the lives of so many.

Occupational Therapy is all about helping people live their lives to the fullest. Whether it’s regaining strength after an injury, adapting to new challenges, or building skills for everyday tasks, our OT team is there every step of the way.

From our clinic to the hospital and long term care, they:
✔ Help patients regain independence after illness or injury
✔ Support safe movement and everyday activities
✔ Build strength, coordination, and fine motor skills
✔ Provide tools and techniques to make daily life easier
✔ Encourage confidence and improve quality of life

Their impact goes far beyond therapy sessions—they help people get back to the moments that matter most. 💛

Thank you, Sheri, Robin, Kelsey, and Carrie for the care and heart you bring to our patients and our community every single day!

What’s this vest all about? 👀

This is a High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO) vest, now available right here at St. Aloisius.

In this photo, one of our ward clerks is giving it a try—getting a feel for how it works as we prepare for upcoming staff training.

This device gently vibrates the chest to help loosen and move mucus from the lungs—making it easier to breathe and clear airways.

Here’s what it can do:🫁
• Helps loosen mucus from the lungs and airway walls
• Moves mucus from smaller airways to larger ones so it can be cleared by coughing or suctioning
• Supports patients with conditions like COPD, cystic fibrosis, or bronchiectasis
• May reduce the risk of lung infections
• Can improve breathing and overall comfort
• Adjustable sizing, making it usable for children through older adults
• Non-invasive and easy to use

More tools, more support, and more ways to care for our patients—right here at home. 💙

The Inspiritus Community Health Foundation offers a Twice Blessed Program, which matches community donations for projects that support the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of our communities.

✨That means every dollar given can have an even bigger impact right here at home.✨

A special thank you to Inspiritus and our community members—because of your support, we were able to purchase this device. 🙌
