I am in process of becoming certified as a Learn with Less Provider and I am in search of 2 families that have children 0-12 months to participate in my certification class. Learn With Less® (Strength In Words LLC) is a parent education company dedicated to helping to support new parents feel confident they can support and connect with their babies and toddlers – without having to buy a single toy. It is based out of California and when I came across it, I realized the potential it had for so many of the families on Cape Cod who are looking to find ways to support their children's development while making connections with other families in the community. Once certification is complete, I will be offering infant and toddler classes within the community. Please DM me if you are interested in joining me.

This summer I plan to expand some of my therapeutic services to include small group opportunities for kids that really enjoy Legos, but might also struggle with social communication skills. This can include children with high functioniong ASD and children with other social communicatoin challenges. This is based on the research done by LeGoff, Gomez de la Cuesta, Krauss, and Baron-Cohen. My hope is to offer at least two groups for children Grades 2 through 6. If you might be interested, please feel free to reach out to me for more information. Groups will be comprised of three children per group and will be one hour in length.

Getting prepared as our students, clients, and children enter adulthood can be overwhelming. The supports change to allow for more independence and autonomy, however the process and changes can often be unexpected and stressful. It’s important to prepare both clients and their families for the changes.

Hard to believe that summer is 12 weeks away. This summer I will be offering office visits for pediatric and adult clients. In addition to individual sessions I plan to offer small group sessions targeting a variety of speech and language needs that incorporate client interests from Legos to Harry Potter and beyond.
