And now for something completely different....

US National Weather Service Boston MA is predicting a little bit of snow for Tuesday evening/night. Doesn't appear to be anything to be concerned about, just wanted to make everyone aware.

Road conditions may be an issue with the snow/freezing drizzle.

While it should start to warm up this week, the term "warm" is relative....

If you are using space heater, please make sure they are connected directly to a wall outlet. Also make sure they are a safe distance from combustible materials.

Massachusetts Department of Fire Services

BRRRRR!!! If you're using a space heater to beat the cold this weekend, remember to plug it directly into a wall outlet -- not an extension cord or power strip. Keep anything that can burn at least three feet away on all sides, and always turn it off before leaving the room or going to sleep. And some good advice from Massachusetts Department of Fire Services

The nation's leading chicken experts at The National Chicken Council predict that Americans will eat 1.48 billion Chicken Wings today. If you're in charge of cooking up snacks, play it safe! Keep anything that can burn away from the stove top, , and in the event of a grease fire . Read more: https://ow.ly/AShK50QzPIA

Apparently we are in the middle of a Norlun Trough, named for meteorologists Nogueira and Lundstedt. We can add that to the list of new things we learned this year.

What this means is there is a really narrow intense band of snow that will impact our area today. The good news, it has set up farther inland so our total have gone down. The bad news, it’s very difficult to predict accurately. Aftercast here we come. (In other words, we will know tomorrow how much snow to expect)

What hasn’t changed is the dangerously cold wind chills on the back side of this snow event.

Tomorrow is going to be a day to stay inside. Make sure pets aren’t left out for long periods and if you have to go out make sure exposed skin is covered.

It’s starts to “warm” up on Monday, at least we get closer to freezing.

A great look into Boston MedFlight and their operations. A critical service for Cape Fire Departments to make sure the most critically injured patients can get to a Level 1 Trauma Center within the “Golden Hour” - the critical 60-minute period immediately following a severe injury, where rapid, definitive medical and surgical intervention is most likely to save a patient's life.

We aren’t one to point fingers, but we do find it a little coincidental that Punxsatawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter on Monday and we are getting winter weather this weekend.

But on the westher, there are two separate concerns from Friday through Sunday; extremely cold weather and accumulating snow.

The latest forecast, from accredited, trained meteorologists, not Phil, is for 3 to 4 inches of snow through Saturday night. This is primarily ocean effect snow and could be as high as 6 inches in some isolated areas. It really depends on how the winds set up.

The second concern is the extreme cold weather predicted through Sunday day. We could see negative temperatures with the wind chill. This will decrease through the day on Sunday.

We don’t expect any other complications with the storm but we are monitoring conditions as we always do just in case.

Thank you to US National Weather Service Boston MA, not Phil, for the forecast details.
