Our friend, has been running this candy donation drive for 5 years — collecting leftover Halloween candy to include in blessing boxes for seniors in need across the tri-county area ❤️

These boxes are filled with essentials like nonperishable food, cleaning supplies, and personal care items — but the candy adds a little sweetness and joy that’s always deeply appreciated ✨

You can drop off any amount of leftover candy right here or at Peoples Yoga Studio. We’ll make sure it gets to the right place before Christmas 🎁

Calling all Ashtanga lovers & yoga teachers 🗣️
We are so happy to have my good friend, Davia back at the studio to share her passion 💛

Ashtanga Mixed Series Workshop
💫11:00am to 12:30 pm
Davia will guide students through the first half of the Ashtanga Primary series (up to Marichyasana D) and then move on to select postures from the Intermediate and Third Series. The workshop will be followed by a brief Q&A session on developing a consistent Ashtanga practice, working through challenging postures, and a discussion of the importance of pranayama and chanting as part of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Method as taught by Manju and Sathu Jois.


Ashtanga Vinyasa Adjustments
💫1:00pm to 2:00pm
YTTs in training, or teachers looking to refresh their knowledge of anatomy and adjustments in the Ashtanga sequence, are invited to participate in a one-hour workshop with Davia Downey directly following the Mixed Series Workshop. This posture clinic will cover adjustments helpful in Surya Namaskar A and Surya Namaskar B, as well as a selection of standing and seated posture adjustments from the Primary series. YTTs will receive an out-of-class assignment to accompany the workshop for those needing additional non-contact hours. Students are encouraged to bring a copy of either David Swenson’s Ashtanga Yoga: The Practice Manual or Manju Jois and Greg Tebb’s The Definitive Guide to Therapeutic & Traditional Yoga, both of which are available on Amazon and Bookshop.org.

Yoga is a practice and a wonderfully exciting and challenging path to help empower you to fall in love with your body and your life, one breath at a time. Here at Haslett Hot Yoga, and at our sister studios East Lansing Hot Yoga and Firefly Hot Yoga Bar, we offer a variety of diverse classes led by outstanding instructors whose goal is to help you have a high quality and tremendously fun practice. Our classes are open to all levels of flexibility and experience. Whether you're a beginner who can't touch your toes, a college or armchair athlete, a runner with bad knees, a stressed out parent of three, a 30, 50, or 70 year old man or woman with chronic back pain or high blood pressure, or a practiced yogi-THIS YOGA IS FOR YOU! Our hot room is set to a luxuriously warm 100+ degrees with 40% humidity. Hot yoga de-stresses, delights, and detoxifies the body through perspiration and increased blood flow. Our classes will help you become stronger, calmer, more toned, less stressed, and we promise to always warm you up on a cold day. Whatever your age, injury, or prior yoga experience (if any), Haslett Hot Yoga has a class that will benefit your body, mind and spirit.
