As we have all heard in our closely knit equine community and although EHV is nothing new to us as horse owners, we are all at a higher risk at the moment with the confirmed cases and tragic deaths spreading across the country.
At Gold Star Equine, the health, safety, and well-being of every horse in my care is at the heart of everything I do. Because I am deeply committed to strong biosecurity practices—and to protecting our equine community—I will be temporarily pausing services for a two week period for any barn or any barn that has persons associated with another facility that has hauled horses to races or other events at any time during the month of November.
This precaution is not taken lightly. It is an important step in reducing potential exposure risks and ensuring that all horses, including yours and mine, remain healthy, happy, and safe. I appreciate your understanding and partnership as we uphold the standards that keep our equine family thriving.
