The February Thornapple Tribune Newsletter featured Rachel Greenfield, our dedicated Nursing Team Leader for Mill Pond Point! Rachel has been a cherished part of our community for 20 years. She began her journey with us as a CNA and — through hard work, passion, and continuous growth — advanced to become an RN, Charge Nurse, and now Nursing Team Leader. Every step of the way, she’s brought compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to both residents and staff.

Outside of work, Rachel loves spending quality time with her husband, Eric, and their two children. Whether it’s camping, attending concerts, or enjoying family adventures, she brings the same warmth and enthusiasm to her personal life as she does to her role here.

We’re grateful for everything Rachel contributes to our team and our residents. Thank you for your dedication, heart, and leadership! ❤️

He truly meets each resident at their level and supports their individual preferences and needs. Bryan is also dependable and helpful to other departments. The Thornapple Manor Auxiliary Team is holding Preorders for our Annual Strawberry Fruit Fundraiser!! Strawberries come to us through the Florida Fruit Association and are at their peak flavor in March in Florida. Preorders are open now through February 18th, since these are preorders, payment is due up front and prior to us ordering the berries. We accept cash or checks made out to the Thornapple Manor Auxiliary.

Get to know Carol McKelvey, the Nursing Team Leader for Cloverdale Lane! Carol has been a member of the Thornapple Manor team for 18 years, first serving as a Charge Nurse before recently stepping into the Team Leader position. Her service is motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in lives of our residents. Before becoming a nurse, Carol served in the Army, which she cites as the experience that shaped who she is today by instilling values of team work, dedication, and compassion. Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending time with her grandkids, riding motorcycles, reading, and crocheting. Thank you for your service to our residents and staff, Carol. TM is blessed to have you!

Marchelle is a member of our Dietary team and received several nominations commending her dedication, kindness, and willingness to help others. Many of her teammates also noted her contagious smile and positive attitude.
