Timothy “Tim” J. Frank ,64 of Hastings, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska.
We celebrate the life of a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Tim was born in Hastings, NE on August 7, 1961, to John “Jack” and Wanda Frank. He graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1979 and graduated from Kearney State College in 1983. He married Michelle Frank on June 20, 1987. He was rooted deeply in his community, he carried the values of hard work, perseverance, and love for family throughout his life.
He lived life with a renewed outlook as he transitioned from his role as Dad to Papa Tim. He enjoyed the thrill of horse races, cheering on his favorite sports teams (especially if they covered the spread), playing golf, the strategy of blackjack, and the quiet peach of fishing. A gifted athlete and avid bowler, he was especially proud of his accomplishments on the lanes and has been nominated to Nebraska State Bowling Hall of Fame—a testament to his dedication and talent in a sport he truly loved.
He was a proud and dedicated father who found great joy in raising his children. He is survived by his son, Tyler (Laura) Frank of Omaha; his daughter, Lyndsey (Jake) Rossen of Kearney; and his daughter, Tosha (Shawn) Kunzman of Humboldt. Nothing meant more to him than being “Dad.” During their youth, he was not only a father but also a coach, mentor, and constant presence on the sidelines—teaching lessons about teamwork, dedication, and heart that extended far beyond the game.
In his later years, his greatest happiness came from the lively chaos brought into his life by his beloved grandchildren: Easton, Remi, Lily, and Devon. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent cheering them on, teasing them, and creating memories they will carry forever.
He is also survived by his brother, Tom (Tonja) Frank; his loving girlfriend, Stephanie Conover; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-and sister-in-law’s. His family circle was wide, and he valued those connections deeply.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Michelle Frank, and his parents, Jack and Wanda Frank, who no doubt welcomed him home with open arms and a winning trifecta ticket.
Above all, he will be remembered for his determination, his competitive spirit and his love for his legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the stories he told, and the family he cherished so deeply.
There will be a memorial service at First St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hastings, on Saturday, February 28, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Memorials for Tim may be directed to the family to be determined at a later date. Murray Wilson Funeral Directing is in charge of arrangements.
