You never know who might stop by at The Kensington! 🐿️ Today we had some very special (and very noisy!) visitors — Alvin, Theodore, and Simon made quite the entrance and brought plenty of laughter along with them. A huge thank you to Rayna, Payton, and Carmen for their incredible assistance in ensuring our community members felt absolutely wonderful! We dedicated the majority of the day to spa treatments, which included relaxing foot soaks, meticulous manicures and pedicures, soothing foot massages, and plenty of tender loving care.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Nebraska!

We celebrated the Cornhusker State in style! We kicked things off with trivia — can you guess some of the amazing things invented in Nebraska? Then we took a trip along the Oregon Trail, visited Pony Express offices, and even discovered the “lost grave.” 🐴📜

The day wrapped up perfectly back home with a hearty meal of Runzas, made fresh by our residents that afternoon. What a fun, memorable day! 💛

What an unforgettable adventure for our residents at The Kensington in Hastings! 🚌🌾

Hastings is right in the path of the incredible sandhill crane migration, and we just couldn’t wait until March to go looking for them. So we bundled up, loaded the bus in February, and set out on a crane-spotting adventure!

To our surprise and delight, we saw hundreds of sandhill cranes gathered in the cornfields. What an amazing sight! Watching these beautiful birds during their migration was truly a special experience — and a wonderful reminder of the beauty right here in our own backyard.

The adventures will continue throughout March, and we can’t wait to see what we discover next! 🐦✨

The Kenzie Awards were all about celebrating what makes each resident so special. Every person received their own unique award—because being YOU is always worth a standing ovation. 👏

The celebration included a little extra fun with surprise guest appearances inspired by Nancy Sinatra and Scarlett O'Hara, bringing plenty of personality and laughter to the afternoon.

After the awards, everyone enjoyed special treats and sweet moments together. It was a joyful day filled with recognition, smiles, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️
