On National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day, we’re celebrating the professionals who help us better understand how food and nutrition support overall health. Registered dietitian nutritionists bring expertise that guides individuals toward healthier choices every day. Building good nutrition habits is about making small, sustainable changes that support long term well being. Start with one simple step, keep going, and see how those healthy habits can grow.

Nutrition plays a powerful role in helping older adults maintain strength, manage chronic conditions, and enhance overall well being. At Benedictine, we prioritize good nutrition to help residents thrive with: balanced, flavorful meals, specialized diets for medical conditions, and meaningful social dining to promote better appetite and emotional well-being. Nourishing the body nurtures the spirit — and we are honored to support both for Nutrition Month and throughout the year.

Social work is more than a profession — it’s a calling to uplift people, defend justice, and transform lives. In long term care, social workers advocate for residents every day, support residents and families as they transition into senior living, and play a key role on the care team to ensure each person’s needs and preferences are honored. Thank you for all you do!

How does Lent connect to the Benedictine Core Value of Hospitality?
In her Lenten Reflection, Sister Joan Marie Stelman, OSB, shares a beautiful insight into this connection. She reminds us that through prayer, abstinence and reflection, Lent helps us clear space in our hearts—letting go of what weighs us down so we can grow in love, patience and kindness.
By making room within ourselves, we become more able to welcome Christ and one another with the openness and compassion at the heart of Benedictine hospitality. Read Sister Joan Marie’s full reflection here:

We are so excited to introduce the newest residents in our Catered and Assisted Living at Benedictine Living Community-Regina!

Today we gathered for a warm and welcoming afternoon filled with tea, delicious treats, great conversations, and lots of smiles. ☕🍰

One of the highlights was seeing so many smiles as our new residents took photos with our “I Said Yes to the Address” sign — a wonderful way to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in a place they now call home. 💛

Welcome to the Benedictine family! We are so happy you’re here and look forward to many more moments of connection, laughter, and community together.

HR Director, Alana, took time out of her busy day to paint resident nails, share laughs, stories, and a little extra sparkle. It’s a beautiful reminder that no matter our titles, we all share the same goal: resident happiness.

Moments like these benefit everyone involved — connection, care, and community at its finest. ✨
