My parents didnโt know the language. They didnโt know the culture. They had no roadmap. What they did have was a work ethic, a belief in education, and a willingness to sacrifice everything for their children.

Iโve had the privilege of becoming an Orthopaedic surgeon, and this year I took the leap to open my own practice โ Iron Mountain Orthopaedic Institute, a place built on the principles of compassion, precision, and doing whatโs right for patients.
My sister, a powerhouse in her own right, has built an incredible career of her own and now serves as Chief Legal Officer for Pye Barker.
Two kids who started with nothing but immigrant grit and parents who refused to let circumstances define us.
๐ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐, ๐ฏ๐๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ท๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐ โ the millions of small decisions, late nights, sacrifices, and moments of belief (even when doubt was easier).
My parents planted seeds in soil they didnโt yet understandโฆ and those seeds took root.
This country isnโt perfect. But our story โ like so many immigrant stories โ is a reminder that the ๐จ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐น, ๐ฎ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ, ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ข๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐.
And every day I walk into my practice, I carry that gratitude with me.
