Supine cane flexion over pool noodle helps to restore overhead shoulder mobility while simultaneously restoring thoracic extension mobility! These two motions are very important to work together when reaching overhead. This is a common area for impairment due to prolonged sitting causing postural changes. We use this exercise for a multitude of diagnoses ranging from shoulder impingement to cervical/thoracic derangements.

Sidelying hip abduction is an exercise used to strengthen your gluteus medius muscle located on the outside of your hip! When this muscle is weak,  it can alter your gait pattern making it harder to walk, as well as, make it more difficult to balance in single leg positions.

Seated PPT

Sitting with thighs above parallel, keeping chest upright, using core/lower abs to pull inwards so that your hips/pelvis rotates backwards. This is good for some patients with lower back/hip pain and it is good for anyone who needs lower core(transverse abdominis) activation.
