November is Mouth Cancer Action Month — a reminder that early detection can save lives.
Oral cancer can develop anywhere in the mouth and throat and often shows subtle signs, including:
•Persistent mouth sores
•Red or white patches in the mouth
•Unexplained lumps or swelling
•Difficulty chewing or swallowing
If you experience any of these symptoms lasting more than two weeks, schedule an evaluation with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. It's a simple step that could make all the difference.
