Wednesday, October 29 Charles Johnson Head Start spotlighted two staff members, Ms. Lashes Willis (Head Start Teacher) and Ms. Ki’ Mya Brown (Early Head Start Teacher). Both have gone above and beyond the classroom as they faced many challenges this year. Congratulations!!

John E Hales Early Head Start Male Involvement event was a tremendous success! Community partners included Venture Church, PRCC, Primerica, and Boots on the Ground. It’s always great for our young men to engage with positive role models, build leadership skills, and connect with organizations that invest in their future. We’re thankful for the support of our partners and proud of the growth and enthusiasm shown by all who participated!

PRVO’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is seeking compassionate, community-minded individuals to join our team for the upcoming tax season! 💼💻

As a VITA volunteer, you’ll help provide free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate-income families — no prior experience needed! We offer free training and certification, and you’ll gain valuable skills while giving back to your community.

🧡 Volunteer Roles Available:

🔹Site Coordinators
🔹Greeters/Screeners
🔹Tax Preparers
🔹Quality Reviewers

⚠Please note, not all volunteer roles involve preparing taxes! Greeters are a big help and tax certification is not required!

📅 Tax sites operate Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, February through April. Training begins in October or November.
