Alden Pointe is Hattiesburg’s premier assisted living and memory care community, providing exceptional and compassionate care to its residents since 2004. The community is comprised of 36 luxury suites in three neighborhoods, two for assisted living and one dedicated to memory care. Alden Pointe’s team believes in treating its residents like family, and provides them with every comfort of home. Residents enjoy a tight-knit, friendly community filled with spirit, warmth and compassion. The community boasts interior amenities that include family gathering rooms, a large living room, and an inviting kitchen, as well as outside features including a sun porch and courtyard. Alden Pointe's Executive Director is Kathy McPhail, LSW. In December of 2004, Kathy brought her passion for caring for the elderly to Alden Pointe when she became the community’s executive director. As a licensed social worker, Kathy has more than 25 years of experience meeting the needs of the geriatric population, including past experience at nursing homes, home and community-based service programs, and as Director of Emergency Welfare Services. A Hattiesburg, MS native, Kathy received her B.S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is also an active member of Forrest General Hospital’s Community Advisory Board. Kathy is dedicated and committed to the individuals she serves at Alden Pointe, and she takes a personal interest in all of her residents. Simply put, Kathy runs Alden Pointe the same way she would if her own parents lived here, putting the residents’ safety and well-being first, and providing excellent care on a daily basis no matter what the situation. Kathy and her husband Ricky, who is the director of nursing for Alden Pointe, have been married for 33 years and have two children, both of whom are pursuing degrees in nursing.
