I want to take a moment to recognize the Lenny Zakim Fund, which has been at the very center of POBHI’s journey from our first year to now — five years later. Their belief in our mission, their consistent support, and their generosity helped turn an idea into an organization that now serves real people in real need.
Alongside the Lenny Zakim Fund, partners like The Boston Foundation and the Community Foundation for MetroWest have played a critical role in helping us bring access to mental health care closer to the community. Because of this support, we are also able to invest in our interns — emerging clinicians who are helping bridge the gap between communities and providers, and who represent the future of culturally responsive care.
Mental health care is not one-size-fits-all.
