Every time I see a shoeing set up of wedges and pads I wonder how anyone can think that they can replace a digital cushion with man made materials and leverage.

These packages have their place, for instance protecting the tendons from excess stresses from incorrect angles, but they aren’t a fix ... they simply alleviate symptoms and allow the horses body to perform above its hooves ability. Never a great long term plan

Rehabbing the soft tissues so they function correctly and support the limb is always preferable... but it takes time ... which is the one thing most people can’t afford.

Not my image but it’s the one my brain always pulls, and it’s worth understanding the implications of low heels and quick “fixes”
