Insight without embodiment doesn’t integrate.
And embodiment without meaning doesn’t transform.

There are bridges between our psyche, our body, our emotions, and our identities.
When I first started my somatic awareness journey, I had no idea where they were and thought mine were broken. But I realized these bridges were hidden by my internal jungle of beliefs, constraints, personal history, dissociation, and compartmentalization.

To reclaim them is to experience myself as a Living Body.

Art always starts with questions, and I like to tuck mine in little pockets in my art books.

I never find or need answers; the exploration of the questions and the gentle meandering through their territory is the process.

Questions open doors,
Answers close them.

It always starts with questions, and I like to put them in little pockets in my art books.

I never find or need answers; the exploration of the questions and the gentle meandering through their territory are always illuminating.

Our first monthly peri/menopause support group happened last night and it was so nourishing and heartfelt.

We explored some of the many questions and shifts that occur during this time of a woman’s life: relationships, identity, emotional and physical changes.

There are so many thresholds, and without reflection, we rush through them and lose ourselves.
Without embodiment, we stay fragmented.

We can navigate these life transitions better with community, meaning, and connection.

This will be a monthly event. Next Support Group is on Monday, March 9th at 7pm. Follow and get on their newsletter for all the details!

Most people see images as something we create.
I experience them as something that comes to me.
They carry movement, identity, emotional memory, sometimes a life transition taking shape.
They bring a message.
They form a bridge.

Let’s reframe:
We are not “being creative”.
We are listening.

There is something deeply life-affirming about responding to a calling through making art. To make space to listen to the whispers, the images that emerge in my dreams and inner landscape.

It would be easy to not hear, to dismiss them, and to succumb to the overwhelming sadness of the outer world.

But when I take time to listen, I find that the calling holds the answers to the loud sadness of the world.

One of my happiest places: in reflective, creative flow.

This is where I go deep in making meaning. The exploration of the symbols and the figures that show up on the pages are direct threads to Soul. They nourish me on a profound level, and help me respond to the world and my experiences with more intention and presence.

Thank you and .wrkd for providing the space and support for this process.✨

Last night was pretty magical at . Our Word Of The Year journal cover workshop brought openness, soft strength, and heartfelt connections to our amazing group.

I see art making the same way I see body awareness and movement: vessels for personal exploration, individuation, and growth. And the goal of personal growth is to create healthy, heart-centered communities and connect with each other.

More Art for Meaning & Reflection workshops coming this year!

Also, my typewriter (her name is Forrest) looks very much at home there!! ❤️

The gift of slowing down: finding ourselves in a way we cannot in a fast-paced, disconnected culture. To slow down means reconnecting with our deeper selves and reclaiming our inner space.

I am nearing the end of a three-month somatic trauma therapies training, finishing the year in softness and repair to balance the intensity and depth of the journey.

Trauma is the Great Fragmenter.
The inquiry is: what did it fragment? Self confidence, intimate relationships, body connection, individuation process, dysregulation of motivation, interpersonal connection… most likely it touches several layers and areas.

As someone who works with body awareness and helps people to find balance and relieve pain, this topic is central to my practice.

Word Of The Year Journal cover.
I’m working on a workshop to find our WOTY and create our own journal cover with it, using different mixed media techniques.

It will be a very intentional space of meditative practice and creativity to start the year.

I’ll teach it early January in Havertown.
Details and registration coming soon!
