POP-UP CLASS!
BREATH and MEDITATION

There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Take air in. Let it out. Repeat 25,000 times a day.
This pop-up class will focus on Coherent Breathing, an approach to breathing that has the potential to reduce stress and anxiety, improve cardiovascular and respiratory functioning, increase emotional regulation, and decrease insomnia. While using coherent breathing, people naturally move into a meditative state.
We will briefly review the effect of the breath on the autonomic nervous system and on the functioning of the heart. We will spend most of the class practicing and refining Coherent Breathing. Students will leave the class with tools designed to support Coherent Breathing away from the studio.
Students will be seated on the floor for most of this class. We do offer chairs if needed. We provide bolsters and blankets for your added comfort. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water.
