I was triggered today. A deep core wound was activated just after I took this pic of Stew. Literally one second later. I had just had an amazing Replenish with Reiki class and I was riding high with the meditation vibes. While taking pics of each student's card pulls to send them, my kind, generous, loving boyfriend whipped up a delicious decaf latte for me and brought it over with sweet words, a soft kiss and a warm embrace. Then Stew 🐱 came to check out the oracle cards (as most cats do) and my latte. I couldn't resist trying to get the best angle for a picture (because we're completely obsessed with him). I got this sweet little shot and then let go of the cup for 1 more, as he continued to walk on the mattress... and of course, the cup fell over and my latte, which I hadn't even tasted yet, spilled all over the memory foam bed... and Stew's foot (he's fine) while Jeff watched from the living room.
I was mortified. That moment of despair when little Vanessa would once again be clumsy and knock something over or spill something, or make a mess, and then get in trouble or reprimanded by a grown up... she suddenly went into sheer panic. The eye rolls, the groans, looks of disappointment and sharp words for creating an accident all came flashing before my eyes. Little me cried deep inside and grown up me held back the tears.
What came up?
•Fear
•Anxiety
•Shame
•Embarrassment
•Belittling Self
•Anger at Self
•Fear that my act of stupidity and clumsiness would make my partner want to leave me
•Fear of abandonment
•Bracing for consequence
•Fear of disappointing someone I care about so so much
.. but SHAME was the biggest one. Came in full force.
Inner child healing is a constant work in progress. I am so grateful to have aligned with a partner who I can share the trigger in the moment as it is happening, and who can hold me in his arms, reassuring me, and reassuring Little V that I and safe, that I am loved and that accidents happen. The world didn't end. He's not going anywhere. And I am still a wonderful person worthy of love.
Keep doing the work ♥️✨

🤧🤒🤧 I'm a healer. It's literally my job. But it's also just who I am. I take care of others, I tend to others needs emotionally, spiritually, mentally, physically, and it's all from a genuine place. I absolutely love it, I don't even think twice. But when it comes to receiving from others... that I've had to continue to work on. I've gotten better over the years at work life balance, I don't say yes when I know I'm over booking -though most of the time I don't realize I've over booked until the time comes 🤦🏽♀️- and I accept gifts, treatments, compliments, and assistance MUCH more easily than I used to. I truly let it in.
BUT when I'm under the weather, I'm typically on my own with that one. I'm rarely sick. The last time I was sick was almost 3 years ago with Covid and I haven't had even a cold since. Until this past week when I got slammed with a bug that wiped me out. I'm currently in bed (day four) reflecting on the three work events I had to cancel, the three boxes of tissues I've gone through, the meds, the dry skin from blowing my nose, the aches, the pain, the fevers, the puffiness, the sniffles, the coughs, the delirium, the struggle to breathe through my nose... all of which I'm used to handling on my own.
But this time I get slammed while visiting my boyfriend at his place for an evening. And my goodness, he saw a side of me I wasn't sure I was ready to show him yet 🤧🛌🤒🫠👹, and I got to experience a side of him that didn't surprise me but was a new experience for me all the same. I got to experience the other side of genuine kindness, love and nurturing. I got to experience someone to hold space for me as I broke down into mush and wallowed in a puddle of "I doooon't feeel weeeelllll 😭😭😭" It's been a very long time since I've had that gift.
I don't know how I would have made it through the last few days without you Jeff (and Stew of course 😻🐾) Thank you for being the best cook, Xmas tree decorator, snuggler, and movie watcher and for making me laugh even when I felt the worst. 🥰 You're my favorite. ❤️
You know, I teach about manifesting and co-creating with the Universe, and the power of doing the inner work... but the hardest part is always letting go of the "how" and non-attachment to timing... but it's worth it. It's so so worth it. And boy did the Universe pull through with this guy. I'm one lucky lady 🤧
And thank you to the friends and family who have been checking in on me. I'll be back soon!

I have always been a very intuitive and empathic person. I come from a long lineage of healers and powerfully intuitive individuals in both this lifetime (Central American roots: Nicaragua, El Salvador, and the Myan tribe called Pipiles) as well as many many past lives. As a child and into my late teen years I was able to see energies, spirits, Spirit Guides, know things before they would happen, and had prophetic dreams on a regular basis. From my teenage years into adulthood I have spent many years visiting the islands of Hawaii, which I am deeply rooted to on a soul level, and could feel my gifts continue to be nurtured and grow as I connected with the magic of the land. I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Winston-Salem, NC; Brooklyn, New York; and now I currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.
Throughout my various locations of residency and travels I would magically cross paths with incredibly gifted groups and individuals who helped me learn new modalities of connection with the higher realms and hone in on my skills. I discovered that I could not only give intuitive readings, but I could also perform hands on energy healing, connect with my Shamanic roots, connect with loved ones who have crossed over, read tarot/oracle cards, and channel. I am strongly clairvoyant (messages received through visions), clairaudient (messages received audibly from the higher realms), and claircognizant (messages received through a deep knowing). I am a Reiki 2 certified practitioner and am in the process of becoming a Level 3 Reiki Master. I am constantly exploring my own inner journey by learning more and more from mentors, beautifully intuitive friends, and my own Spiritual team in the higher realms. I have met, and continue to meet, my different Spirit guides, Gods, Goddesses, ancestors, Angels, Arch Angels, past life aspects of myself, and continue to work side by side with them in both my own journey and those of my clients’. For years I have had the honor to work alongside the Hawaiian Goddess Pele. She has completely changed my life, enhanced my healing and clearing abilities, and has brought forth powerful messages by channeling through me. She along with the rest of my crew is who shows up at each session. I do not do this work alone. I am simply a conduit for the Divine’s energy to work through.
My main focus for most of my life has been my acting career with a sub focus of working with children. My intuition and use of spiritual gifts were simply something I shared with close friends and family, keeping it a part of my private world… then Spirit stepped in and shifted my path straight into the healing arts. I was gifted the opportunity to step into my true self and own my light without apologizing for it. I now am so blessed to be able to use all of my gifts to connect with clients and offer healing, guidance and unconditional love from Spirit. I am currently working on combining the worlds of Spirit, acting, and working with children so stay tuned for local workshops in LA as well as pop ups across the country.
