The main difference between a capsule & tablet is the manufacturing process and absorption speed.

A capsule is a shell typically made of gelatin to protect the medication contents inside that can be a powder, liquid or gel. The shell dissolves quickly, allowing for rapid absorption of the medication.

A tablet is a solid compressed form of medication & sometimes they can be chewable. Most tablets must first break down into smaller particles before being dissolved and absorbed.
