What a sweet family, unfortunately we have only gotten to know them over the last trimester. New to the state, they blessed us by choosing DaySpring to bring this sweet baby girl into the world. Mama worked hard, she was strong and resilient. Nearly two weeks over due this little girl was in no hurry to give up her cozy womb room. The look on her face says it all. ❤️

Even after 30 years I hate missing out on births. Scheduling vacations or getaways are tricky. So it’s super exciting when 11th hour births happen. This cutie was exactly that. Mama popped in and baby popped… and that’s literally the way it happened. SO fast! Mom had only been at the birthcenter for five minutes when baby arrived. I wish I could have captured the look on mom’s face when I walked in the room ( 2 minutes before the birth. ) She was so calm and collected I would have thought the look she gave was as if to say, “why are we even here?!”. It was incredible! Grandma was present, it was her birthday. She was over the moon for her birthday gift. Best gift ever!!!! ❤️

Every baby has their own story. It’s nice when they are predictable and follow a pattern, but no… that would be boring. I wonder how much their personalities play into it. If that’s the case, mom and dad will need an extra dose of patience while raising this cuteness. She will not be in a hurry to do anything. 😂.

First baby of the New Year! She was a fun one. If she is setting the course for the year we will be kept on our toes.
We had lots of warning she was coming that day, but just taking her sweet time. She was easy on mama, in the way contractions were “not bad” said mama. At 7:00 it looked like we still had a good amount of time left. No need to call the team in yet. Ha! 7:15 mama makes a sound that told me something switched. 7:20, yep better call in the troops. 7:30 she was here. No one else made it. Crazy fast. Gotta love the uniqueness of birth.

And Happy New Years Eve!!! This little guy just wanted to wanted to arrive a little early so he could help celebrate the New Years. Or maybe there was some competition as his brother was born on Dad’s birthday. Let’s just say this is a family that loves holidays. Baby came quickly and will ring in the New year with his four siblings. So happy for this sweet family! And now maybe we can all use a little sleep. 😂 Happy New Years!!!! ❤️

Mama was happy to have made it through Christmas and her son’s birthday before this little man showed up. She worked hard for this baby! When babies decide to be sunny side up it’s hard, but this guy was sunny side up and military style (standing like a soldier). I don’t think it gets any harder than this. But mama drew from strength she didn’t even know she had. She did such an amazing job and we are so proud of her.
