𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

There has been a significant update regarding Kootenai Health and Regence BlueShield of Idaho.

Regence has announced that it did not reach a new agreement with Kootenai Health. As a result, Kootenai Health and Kootenai Clinic will be considered out-of-network beginning January 1, 2026. This means Regence members should expect higher out-of-pocket costs if they receive services from Kootenai Health next year.

Hayden Lake Family Physicians is proud to highlight one of our outstanding clinicians, Dr. Brad Brososky, who is accepting new patients!

As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Brososky offers comprehensive care for patients of all ages. He has special expertise in obesity care, hypertension & high blood pressure, diabetes management, and many other chronic and acute conditions, always delivering care with genuine compassion and respect.

A 1995 graduate of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Dr. Brososky joined Hayden Lake Family Physician in 1998 and has been an essential part of our team ever since. He and his wife, Roxanne enjoy exploring the great outdoors together in their free time.

Dr. Brososky is known for his patient-centered approach, ensuring every visit blends excellent medical practice with the individual needs and backgrounds of each patient.

At Hayden Lake Family Physicians, we’re proud to have both medical doctors (MDs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) on our care team, working side by side to provide the highest quality care for our patients.

-𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 (NPs) are advanced practice nurses who provide evidence-based, compassionate care. They diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, order tests, and emphasize preventive and holistic health. In many states (including Idaho!). NPs typically complete 2–4 years of graduate education after becoming registered nurses and there’s no residency requirement before independent practice.

-𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (MDs) complete longer and more specialized training than NPs, allowing them to take on additional responsibilities, particularly for more complex or specialized conditions. They complete a bachelor’s degree, medical school, and then 3–7 years of hands-on residency training in hospitals and clinics.
