Holiday Giving Tree at Rooted!!! ❤️💚

We are working with Safe Passage this holiday season to give back and help families in need.

Safe Passage is a local non-profit that serves survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse. They listen to the needs of their clients, and put together these lists to help meet practical needs for both the holiday season as well as throughout the entire year.

Next time you are in the office, check out the tree posted on our slat wall - feel free to take a tag for whichever item(s) you care to donate 🤗 When you bring the item back to the office, there are bins in the back.

The last giving tree we did in the office you all truly blew us away with the love and generosity. We are SO excited to do this for our community again this year. Let's rally Rooted Fam!

Yes its winter, but hear me out 🙃

👣 Each foot has over 200,000 nerve endings that communicate to the brain! Covering them up can block the sensory information to the brain.

👣 Barefoot babes are allowed to explore different textures such as carpet, grass, wood, dirt - sending more sensory information to the brain, leading to better balance and spatial awareness, fewer falls and better coordination overall.

👣 Being barefoot starts to integrate primitive reflexes (reflexes we are born with). This is a SUPER important step for all neurological development.

Also! A barefoot babe is able to ground more easily, calming the nervous system - and who doesn't want a calm baby 🤪

It's all about balance, per usual. But if babe is inside where it's warm, get those socks and shoes off!

Introducing Katelyn! Our new preceptor 🤗

Some of you may have already seen this lovely face around the office last week 😊

Katelyn is almost done with chiropractic school BUT she has finished her clinical requirements EARLY. This has given her the opportunity to come and learn real-time at Rooted while she finishes the last parts of her education and waits for her license 🙌

A little about Katelyn...
✨ She's also a Coug! Majored in Kinesiology, minored in their Strength & Conditioning program at WSU
✨ She just got back from an international chiropractic service trip in Tonga
✨ She volunteered her time in school to local chiropractic service trips at homeless shelters by the chiropractic college
✨ Throughout school she has been a barre and reformer pilates instructor

🌻 She plays the violin - started when she was 3 years old
🌻 She loves traveling and exploring new places - she has been to 11 other countries (so far)

It's Dr. Joe's favorite time of year 😎 He will be out all week - hunting season is here.

The schedule is a little different this week, so please take note.

‼️ Main changes ‼️
- We open at 10am every day
- We close early on Monday at 4pm

There will also only be one doc in the office often, so walk-in's, the wait time may be a little longer 🙃

If you are having trouble getting scheduled, please feel free to text the office phone and we will do our best to fit you in at a time that works for you!

Rooted in the Park is THIS FRIDAY!!!! Aug 22nd!

We will be closed all day Friday because, well, we will be at the park 🤗

Come hang, let the kiddos play, cool off in the splash pad, jump on the bounce house, eat some snacks ~ We would all LOVE to see you!
