Yesterday brought an incredible blessing for EJ and for everyone who has been walking beside him on this journey. He received a kidney transplant, and we are beyond grateful for this gift of life and the kindness that made it possible.

The road to transplant has been long, filled with hope, waiting, prayers, and the unwavering support of so many people who love him. Yesterday marked a huge step forward, and our hearts are full of gratitude for the medical team, the donor and their family, and every single person who has lifted EJ up along the way.

Now the focus shifts to healing. The next days and weeks will be important for his recovery, so we ask that you continue to keep EJ in your thoughts and prayers as his body rests, heals, and adjusts to this new chapter.

We are so thankful for the love, encouragement, and support from this community. Please keep those prayers coming. 💚

On this National Donor Day, which is also Valentine's Day, Transplant Life Foundation is celebrating the ultimate act of love: Donation.💓

This morning came with breakfast pizza… and a side of love. 🍩❤️

A huge shout out to Dough Haus for surprising EJ with donuts delivered alongside his breakfast. It was such a simple gesture, but it meant so much. This is exactly why we support small, local businesses in our communities. They do not just serve food, they serve heart.

Moments like this remind us that EJ is surrounded by so much goodness as he continues his journey in search of a living kidney donor.

Ej meets with VCU Thursday 9/11 to get on with their transplant team. Send all your prayers they take him on and because they do 1000x more transplants than the previous hospital.

Did you know you can save a life by being a living kidney donor?

If you know EJ, you know he’s always been the one to show up for others—through sports, church, theater, work, or just everyday kindness. He’s the kind of guy who’d give you the shirt off his back… and most of the food off his plate (unless it's muskrat—that’s where he draws the line 😂).

With his blessing, I’ve started this page to spread the word and help potential donors learn about the process. I’ve been through the screening myself and can answer any questions. Along with EJ, Carla, and the transplant team, we’ll support you every step of the way.
