His ANC/neutrophils are up in awesome normal range! (Meaning he is not even neutropenic)!
He is standing on top of the mountain! Thank you Jesus! He will need a few days of chill, and rest to get everything back rolling better. Then he will be back to (his) 🙏normal and will be able to do whatever he can tolerate or his capability with energy.

We have confirmation, he will be staying tonight and getting to come home tomorrow, or Sunday depending. The antifungal meds can cause issues with Potassium and Magnesium so it was expected, nothing new. All meds have been stopped except for the oral antibiotics. Depending on counts when we are discharged. He will start back on his oral
Chemo, at discharge or will have blood count check on Wednesday, and if counts are on point he will be able to start back on oral chemo then and go back to (his) normal life, and school to his capability.
This mountain has really drained him.. He is up and down with energy!

Please pray specifically for that to take place, please, to be able to start back on oral chemo asap!

Today has been a good day! With some energy and a good nap before G and Row and Dad arrived!

The rest of the day yesterday, was the best day he has in over 4 days! He played actually played outside, made stress balls, had a special delivery from one of his best buds( Uncle Jeffery) and from Our Meadow Grove Youth Family!
And a very much needed special person showed up, Aunt Candice (godmother). That prayer request was so much needed to happen, in every way, spirits was raised with out and speaking, And God showed up!
Also made a new friend!

Rhet’s team just came in with good news. All fungal test are back and negative. Lyme disease is negative as well. The rash is Completely Gone!
They will continue the oral antibiotics for a total of 7 days as precaution. His hemoglobin has been dropping a little but they feel it is just from the fluids. They assured us he would not be leaving if they felt it would continue dropping. His counts are slowly improving. They want to watch him for next 24 hours to be sure the fevers do not return after meds are stopped. If things continue how they are he will be headed home tomorrow! 🙌

We can’t think reach and everyone of you for the continued prayers, because they work!
And climbing this rough/steep mountain with us!

Rash is looking SO much better! Prayers are being answered 🙌

He slept good last night, once he went to sleep around 2am 🤪 he had a nice long nap yesterday so he was not very sleepy til late last night.

Lyme disease test is still pending

Still on IV fungal meds for now.

He is unhooked and free til around 5 this evening. He is headed to check out the zone and see what fun activities they have for today!

He was also told he can eat whatever her wants 🤩 this made him super happy!!

Keep the prayers coming, they are definitely helping our sweet boy 🧡🧡

Met with Rhets oncology team this morning. They feel like his rash is looking better 🙌 and have decided to give Rhet a good rest day, so no pokes or test! He is unhooked and free to roam the hospital for 30 mins so he is headed to get his fluffy pancakes and hit up the gift shop for some slime 🤩🤩

Fever was 100.4 this morning but has been trending down since 🙌

He will have a blood test today that will look at infections that could be fungal, this test will take 3 days for results!

He will have another scope tomorrow and IF they see anything he will possibly have a biopsy of that area.

Dermatologist will be in only IF his rash gets worse and they will possibly do a biopsy as well.

They are looking a lyme disease, BUT only because he has presented with a rash and fever and Lyme disease is on the rise in children in GA right now… so they just want to rule it out!

Trista had a check up today and dropped by with some goodies!

Last night was a very long night..
Rash got worse and scary, Rhet was miserable, to see him scream and cry, was the hardest.
He also had another fever again last night..

Has been on edge all morning, just got back from MRI, which in a positive note he was sedated, so he did have some good rest for about a hour!
Met with his actual team Dr.s
Counts have made a couple of number increase. Which is a good thing.
They have changed/switched his meds around try to pin point the cause of rash. They are in connection with ENT as well. Waiting for his body to recover from this reaction.
We will know more and a plan when MRI results are back. As for now keeping him stable, and rest.

Evening Update:

Sorry for delay in update things have been hectic and plans changing. MRI showed an area of concern in his nose. ENT was here promptly and did the scope. They didn’t see anything and are having a meeting in the morning with his normal oncology team and infectious disease team. They will decide then if a biopsy is needed. He started the new anti fungal medication. They also changed him to a new medication for the itching of this rash and seems to be helping. He is in better spirits.

So more less the are a couple things going on, and not sure if the are coming from the same problem or different, so we will have answers tomorrow!

He did eat a taco! And had Aunt Lace come by!

Rhet ran a fever this morning around 6:30, he was almost out of the 24hr window. CT came back with some concerns in the sinus area, the infectious team will be in to talk to us, about there thoughts and plan.
His neutrophils have hit 0 again this morning, and since the fever this morning was out of 24hr period they did another blood culture to see if he has developed, something else or if this is a contributing from the first!
On a positive note Rhet has figured out he has Loose tooth, and has had to tell everyone. But he is encouraged not to try and pull it at this time, with chances of infection.

Thank you all for the continuous prayers, honestly that is what this momma is loving on!

Evening
Had a sweet visitor! And
It was a good midday, he was feeling good, went to the zone with Rowen, Grady, & Dad , before they headed home chad some fun, things was looking better.

Rhet has developed some type of rash basically all over his body. They are unsure at the cause right now. Doctors are getting together now to pin the cause or possibilities.
The doctor came in and went over the game plan. He has been working with an ENT and the infectious disease doctor and this is plan for now. They will get an MRI of his sinuses tomorrow. If there is still any concern that what is going on in there is fungal the ENT will do a scope through his nose.
Please pray specifically that Rhet can complete the MRI without sedation and the Scan provides clear boundaries so the scope is not needed.

We had a couple of high fevers again last night, CT on sinus and chest to rule out . Also abdominal ultrasound. Not waiting on 1 more result from them but the others was normal.
To make sure the are no fungal infections in the body, and he will start antibiotics for fungal till those test are back.
Still up and down in energy. Gums are still hurting, and not eating!

He has had some company. Rowen Grady and dad, has been here, and he has loved that! Put him in better spirits!

Morning update
Rhet’s has still spiked fever this morning and last night. Counts have not changed and has actually slightly decreased.
Going to monitor and sending off and checking an antibody test. Meaning he could have developed antibodies that is rejecting anything, and keeping his immune system at rock bottom.
And they are waiting on the blood infection tests still.
Does not have an appetite, but also gums hurt to eat!
Dr came in and ask “Rhet how are you feeling this morning?” He said “ Good thank you!”
That is always his answer she said!
He never complains! So we are going to try and walk around outside maybe will help his body!

Update: morning

Dr came by, they will talk with infectious disease team to see if the regular coronavirus could still show up in his system from last time, (because is it does he would have to be isolated and we don’t want the).if not they will do a full infection panel to see if he has flu, COVID , strep or anything else. They will also check his blood for infection. His temp had went down but is now back up to 101. He is headed to paint now , so he is up and about and had drank a little bit of his milk, yogurt. But having to stay on him!

Later in day update:
So we had a small adventure to paint water colors and have time outside, then was very exhausted and got another fever 102.3,
Now he is resting is bed and we are waiting on test to come back!
He will tell you he is fine thumbs up, had not complained m, but that is his normal, but he has no interest of really sitting up and doing anything! But watching his tablet!

Evening update:
Rhet has not had a bad evening but has ended up not taking a nap today.. also which has caused him to be a little on the sensitive side, he has been alittle more active.
We did find out that the swab results are all negative, no no come virus, so now we go to our next step waiting on another blood infection results.
And prayers for no more fevers.

Thank you all for the prayers, this Mtn has been rough!🧡

🧡Yesterday
Rhet developed a low grade fever in the morning. It slowly progressed beyond the “safe zone” on his parameters chart in which landed our sweet boy back at Arthur M Blank Atlanta. He has felt fine, no complaints of feeling bad just not as much energy and has remained asymptomatic. However his temp was 102.9 and no clear cause the doctor admitted him to figure out what is going on. His counts have plummeted just since his blood draw yesterday. They will redraw his labs at 4 in the morning and the doctor states this will help determine the trajectory for his admission. So as of right now he is resting, hoping to have answers in the morning!

3/4/26

🧡Last night Rhet slept very good about 12 hrs!!
He is still running high fever, and counts are not really moving up… this morning.
So that being said, they are monitoring, and waiting on blood culture results that takes around 24hrs. So we will be here not sure when we will be getting discharged. Hoping to find out answers. With all counts acting the way they are, and Rhet has been off chemo 10 days now, not actually pin pointing reason behind all of this.
He is still is good spirits. Not an appetite..
We have actually been able to go on walks and visit the zone and make slime! That has helped some!
With brother Grady and Dad!

Please send up some prayers for answers!
Rhet has now almost missed 2 weeks of school and really has been in a bubble, and siblings are having a difficult time for him as well!

It has been a long morning for this boy! Some emotions and not being able to eat. He had a spinal tap and chemotherapy today! These visits are not our favorite! On a positive note blood count is in perfect range, meaning our oral chemo recipe meds are on point!
Mornings like this anything can make him break, thanks to Brookie 2 of the major breaks, she of course fixed! And had a happy boy! Also his favorite nurse was able to come see us!
We got to stay at the Ronald McDonald House last night! Which we love to stay!

Thank you all so very much for the continued prayers and support, in this boy climbing these mountains!🧡
