Life is a series of crossroads. As we travel on our individual journeys we will experience challenges, disappointments, and changes. These life-changing experiences can occur within our current relationships, past hurts, traumatic events, occupations, and even from within ourselves. When these challenges occur, life can become unbalanced; bringing confusion and dissatisfaction. When certain aspects of our life feel broken, life can feel as if we are drowning. Often times we just need a little help; some assistance to heal and face these challenges head on. We believe that balance is essential to living life to the fullest. Finding, creating, and maintaining balance in one’s daily routine aides in building and strengthening confidence, enables focus, helps us invest in our relationships, allows us to cope with stress more effectively, and raises our self-esteem. There are seasons when clarity feels out of reach—when answers are slow and the path forward isn’t obvious. In those moments, hope doesn’t come from having everything figured out, but from choosing trust one step at a time.

We decided to hop on the trend and let AI create an image based on what it knows about each of our employees — and we’re excited to share the results with you!

Each week, we’ll be highlighting one team member as a fun way to help you get to know the hearts, passions, and experience behind the counselors at Bridge to Balance. 💛

This week, we’re starting with Kristi Gibney, our owner and one of our incredible counselors.

Kristi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a heart for helping children, adolescents, couples, and families restore balance, peace, and connection. She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, is trained in play therapy, relationship education, and trauma-informed care, and has worked in a wide range of settings—from residential adolescent treatment to private practice and Christian schools. Kristi is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of counselors and has even helped bring counseling support to at-risk children internationally.
