Time to advocate and it is so easy to do!

Now is the time to act! The U.S. Department of Education is accepting comments through the end of Monday, March 2 on the proposed rule "Reimagining and Innovating Student Education" (RISE). ASRT has serious concerns about this proposal's impact on access to the profession's education options. Congrats Georgia!

Congratulations to Georgia's medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals! The Georgia Senate passed House Bill 571, licensure for the radiologist assistant. This legislation has been a long road. The legislation still has to go back to the House for reconsideration and on to Governor Kemp's desk to be signed, but this is a huge step. Big thanks to all of the advocates in Georgia that made this possible. Special thanks to the Georgia Society of Radiologic Technologists, Society of Radiology Physician Extenders and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for their dedication to this issue.
