We have one new COVID-19 case. The contact investigation has been completed by the health department. The clients are being quarantined at home, along with any additional resident(s) of the home.
Pemiscot County officials stress that residents should not panic and not go to hospital emergency rooms. Those with symptoms--fever and cough or difficulty breathing--should call their health care provider to discuss their situation prior to arrival at any facility.
The best tips for prevention are still social distancing and proper hand washing, staying home if you are sick and avoiding close contact with others will help us limit any spread.
