Tamarack Health Hayward Clinic and Speciality Services as well as Tamarack Health Cable Clinic will be closed on Wednesday, December 24th, Thursday, December 25th, and Thursday, January 1st for Christmas and New Years. Our Emergency Department will remain open 24/7 for any medical emergencies.

Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center registered nurses, Kristine Anderson, RN, and Justin Cebery, RN, were recently presented with DAISY Awards for Extraordinary Nurses, recognizing the wonderful care they provide every day.

Anderson is a nurse in the Family Birthplace at Hayward Medical Center and was nominated by a mother who had a breech baby. Kristine helped with exercises to encourage the baby to get repositioned.

Cebery is a nurse in the Emergency Department at Hayward Medical Center and was nominated by the wife of a gentleman who was brought to the ER for abdominal pain.

Sawyer County is experiencing intermittent power outages due to the ongoing winter storms, and conditions continue to change rapidly.

If you currently have power, please take steps to prepare:

• Charge all essential devices.
• Fill bathtubs and containers with water.
• Ensure you have adequate food and supplies.
• Confirm you have safe, reliable backup heat sources.
• Please check on your neighbors, especially those who may need extra assistance.

Warming Shelters:
• Seven Winds Casino & Lodge has opened a warming shelter for anyone who needs a safe place to warm up.
•The Sawyer County Courthouse is open until 4:00 p.m. today for charging phones and warming up.
