And now The Glass House houses glasses! We are so fortunate to be a continuation of the growing history of downtown Hazard!
WSGS History: 70 years ago today, October 30, 1954 - The Glass House officially opened its doors in the Walkertown section of Hazard.
It was located next to Calitri's Dairy Bar, another popular hang-out, owned and operated by Johnny and Pauline Calitri, along with Pauline’s mother, “Ma” Fugate.
The Glass House featured an extensive glassware collection, beautiful pottery and lamps. It was owned by C.B. "Country Boy" Feltner. Hal Cooner Photo.
How many of you remember these businesses?
