I’ve been staring at this post for 20 minutes.

I’m scared to hit “post.”

I’m scared because admitting I need help feels like admitting I’m failing. I keep telling myself “it’s not that bad,” “I should be able to handle this,” “what if they think I’m weak?”

But the truth is… I’m tired. The anxiety, the sadness, the nights I can’t sleep, it’s getting heavier. And I don’t know how to make it stop on my own anymore.

If you’re reading this and you feel the same way, scared to reach out, scared to be seen, scared it won’t help, I just want you to know you’re not the only one.

I finally called KRCC’s Crisis Line yesterday. They didn’t judge me. They didn’t make me feel broken. They just listened… and told me there are people who can help.

So if you’re afraid like I was, maybe this is your sign.

You don’t have to be ready. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to take one small step.

KRCC’s number is 1-800-262-7491. They’re open 24/7.

I’m still scared… but I’m also a little hopeful for the first time in a while.

You’re not alone. 💙

Happy Valentine’s Day from KRCC 💙

Today the world talks about love, but the most important love is the one you give yourself.

If your heart feels heavy this Valentine’s Day…
If anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction has made it hard to believe you’re worthy of love and care…

Please hear this:

You are deeply loved, exactly as you are.
And you deserve gentleness, healing, and hope.

At KRCC, we’re here to help you rediscover that truth through compassionate therapy, crisis support, recovery programs, and care that honors your whole story.

You are not alone, not today, and not ever.

Call our 24/7 Crisis Line at 1-800-262-7491 or visit krcccares.com whenever you’re ready.

From all of us at KRCC, sending you love and strength this Valentine’s Day. 💕

You matter. You are enough. You are loved.

Whether your child is in daycare, at home, or somewhere in between, we meet families where they are, with compassion and no judgment.

Early support can make a lifetime of difference.

Our Story

Today. Tomorrow. Always. When you think you're alone, we'll be there.

Our lives are like mountain roads – they twist and turn, and sometimes, they don’t take you where you want to go. But like us, you need to know that where you end up is not where you have to stay. When all seems lost, you are not alone and we can help you find your way. For fifty years, our light has burned brightly, and we’ve taken the hands of countless people in the darkest of times and given them the hope and help they’ve needed. Things can get better. You can get well. We care about you, and the story of your life is important to us. Now, it’s time for you to care about you. Recovery happens, and it starts at KRCC.

Our Mission Kentucky River Community Care, Inc., (KRCC) is a private, nonprofit Community Mental Health Center dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people of our region.
