It has been awhile since we have posted anything here. But it has come to our attention that it maybe a good idea to send out a General Message of our situation.
We are not only short staffed (this does work out for now, because of the following), but also Dr Hatta has been been having several health issues this past year and will be for the next coming year. When she is here, she works hard -- and along with her staff, she would really appreciate it, if you have made an appointment to show up on time (i.e, 5-10 minutes early if you are established and even earlier if there are forms to be filled out).
Please NOTE: WE ARE NOT TAKING NEW PATIENTS unless under certain circumstances (in the next 4-5 months or so, we will be reviewing our patient list and will be weaning down the list to get as close 2000 patients as possible based on several factors including No shows, if your child has "aged" out ...etc --- Currently we have close to 5000 patients on the roster -- which is impossible for us to serve adequately)
Currently, our general hours are as follows (we DO NOT do walk in appts):
Monday-Thursday: 9 am to 3pm and on Friday 9 am to 12 noon
Remember that you can leave a concise brief message on the phone: including your question/situation, name of child, date of birth, and a call back number. If need be, you could email us at officekfp@gmail.com, you could fax and in certain situations come in person.
(Note: unless you leave a message, we will not know you called-- and as you know, nothing is 100% reliable, so it does not hurt to leave a short message an extra time or two later that day or the next day , in case it did not go through!)
Our goal is to get back in touch with you as soon as possible, but it maybe 2-3 business days depending on the situation -- Dr Hatta is seeing patients. Medication refills are 2-3 business days and Filling forms out is also 2-3 business days --- it really helps us if you could fill as much as you can of the forms.
There are many, many ways to help us help you and vice versa. This will have to be separate post.
And Note that Facebook is not a good way to communicate with us. We use Facebook to make General Announcements and provide some insight.

Because of the Covid 19 situation, we have decided to limit our hours to the following:
Monday-Thursday: 9 am to 3pm and Closed on Fridays

So, we are still seeing patients here at our office during our regular hours -- well and sick visits. We are taking case-to-case decisions on how and when the visits will take place. Including possibilities of having caretaker and patient out in the parking lot until the actual visit or totally by phone -- depending on the situation of the sick/urgent care/follow-up visit. As you know, we are not a walk-in facility anyway, therefore calling first to talk to my staff would be the first step! And please leave sufficiently detailed and clear messages with contact information. Thank you!

Remember this page is not for two-way conversation especially about personal medical problems of your kids. Office phones are now working. Apparently, some big truck knock and pulled on the wire/cable outside -- it pulled all the way into the building to the modem box.

Unfortunately today and perhaps this past weekend the phones have not been working. Comcast was contacted and hopefully by the end of the day they will have it fixed. In the meantime, our office email is officekfp@gmail.com

Regardless of being our patient or not. If you have been affected by this situation, please help us by the following ways:
1. Make others in this local area or who have a familiar number to be aware that this is happening.
2. Call the Federal Trade Commision on yours and our behalf (please mention that someone is using our number): 1-877-FTC-HELP (877-382-4357) to file complaint. You can also go to website: www.ftc.gov
3. Possibly contact Federal Communications Commission on yours and our behalf.

This is an awful thing to happen to any business. I am hoping that we can give a wake up call to the government to do something about it as well as helping us out.

Yesterday: Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at around our office started and is still receiving Hundreds of calls for what is believed due to someone "cloning" our office numbers online. Someone is using our office number to make the phone calls to you and everyone else that has a number familiar to our number. This causes people to pick up the call because it looks familiar or local, even though (who knows) where the fraud is originating from. Most likely a scam regarding Auto Warranty via "RoboCalling."
We called our phone company, who told us that they are unable to do anything about it because someone does it through the internet.
We did file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC told us that typically, the "scam artist" will use someone's number for a short period of time and then move onto a different number. I am not sure what a "short period" is.
So, Message to my patients and potential patients: please, leave us phone messages so we can contact you. And if you do not hear from us, please try again.

Hi Everyone, this is Dr. Hatta
Business has been steadily increasing. It is difficult to be on social media for our small pediatric practice, but would like to Thank all our caregivers (parents and guardians) and our patients!
Please read the next post (and we might have to post more important messages as well, since we are moving about 100 yards down the street in about 2-3 months)

***Some Good Info about changing your Primary Care Physician (P*P):
If you have Meridian Medicaid, we can change it to right in the office the day of the visit. Other Medicaid/HMO, We suggest calling to change P*P to Dr. Hatta 5-7 business prior to the appointment. Though: depending on the insurance and/or customer representative that is taking the call from you might do it the day before the appointment.
***Reminder***Don't wait till Last Minute to get your kids in before school starts up!!***
Call ahead to make a appointment for your children. May come by and pick up forms to fill out ahead of time or can be e-mailed to you as well.
Any forms, such as Health Appraisals and Sport Physical, that needs to be filled out and signed by physician, Please fill out all the portions that need to be or can be filled out by caregiver/parent done prior to appointment.
Also, if you do not have the forms and need one, we have extras. Come 10-15 mins earlier to fill out forms.
