Look up tonight and witness May’s Full Moon in all its glory — known as the Flower Moon, a name given by Native American tribes to mark the blooming of wildflowers across the Northern Hemisphere.
It will be a micromoon, meaning the Moon will reach its full phase around its apogee, the farthest point in its orbit around the Earth.
📍 Peak illumination: May 12, around 16:55 UTC
🧭 Look toward the southeast as the Moon rises
🌸 Fun fact: It’s called the “Flower Moon” because it coincides with the peak of spring blossoms.
