Our Saturday group celebrated Earth Day at Speech Start! 🌎💙 We had so much fun making “mud pies” for snack using pudding and gummy worms! Getting creative with Earth-themed arts and crafts and sensory bag play. To keep our bodies ready to learn, we took a movement break 🏃‍♀️✨ We then worked on attention and listening skills by searching for the hidden recycling bin ♻️👀

Bug-Themed Group Unit: The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Playdough Bug Imprint Activity 🐛🪲

We paired our story with a few fun, hands-on activities PLUS a movement break to keep our bodies and brains engaged! 🧠✨ One example was “blinking like a firefly” to reset and refocus!

Our Saturday group craft focused on creating a VERY hungry caterpillar after reading the story 📖🐛. We then used playdough and pretend bugs to make imprints, which was such an exciting and interactive way to explore textures, shapes, and imagination!
