it sets you up to live in the state of “anything is possible” and “life is good” and “people are inherently good.”

I know it sounds woo to some.

so I took myself on a walk to the closest beach this morning.

it was glorious.

one of those “why don’t I do this more often?” moments.

what does your next-level self do on the regular that you’re not doing yet?

what exactly is it you’re waiting for?

embody her now.

and everything will start to shift.

I promised myself that this year we are going mix up our date nights more. See shows, go to exhibits, attend events.

And the first one is in the books (literally)!

We attended a launch event for new book The Other Side of Change.

Her book features my friend Tara’s story about delivering and raising a baby with a very serious congenital heart condition that put her life at risk.

(Tara also shared this story on the podcast. Check out Episode 22: How to Help a Friends in Crisis: Real Advice from a Mom Who’s Been There. )

Coincidentally, or not, mixing up our date nights was also advice we received from during our couples session. We are Enneagram 5s after all - we crave mental stimulation!

So, how about you? How are you mixing it up this year?

It can be the simplest of things - like, I’m going to walk my same loop later, but go in the opposite direction. It will be a whole new walk! ☀️

- someone handing me a glass of champagne upon arrival 🥂
- yummy food I didn’t cook or have to clean up 🍽️

So fun to have an adult night out - even if our kiddos were still awake when we got home. 🤪

New name. New cover art. Same great content.

When I launched the podcast in January, I knew Belong Wellness wasn’t the right name for a podcast about midlife women’s health, hormones, perimenopause, relationships, career evolutions…all the things.

But I also knew that waiting to find the perfect name meant I would never even start.

So I hit publish anyway.
I learned.
I evolved.
And now — it’s time for a glow-up. ✨

Did you know breast cancer can come back - in the same place - even after a double mastectomy? Wait, what?

That’s what happened to Teyonna Bowman.

After her recurrence, she faced medically induced menopause at 40.

Her story hits hard. She has gone through so much at such a young age.

And yet she is so calm. And she’s not hiding. She’s sharing. Not only to help others walking a similar path, but to break down the stigma and shame around cancer and early menopause.

And she’s not just sharing on a podcast.
She just lobbied on Capitol Hill.

This woman is truly remarkable and I can’t wait to see what you realize you are capable of after hearing her story.

After years of Halloween being a non-event in my bachelorette life, it is now one of the biggest - and most FUN - days of the year. 🎃

The extra special Maraschino cherry 🍒 on top this year was having my aunt, uncle and brother in town. We all got into the childlike wonder spirit and had a ball.

There’s nothing like feeling like a kid again. 🧡🖤

I recently went on a family “vacation.”

You know what I noticed on this trip? I’m getting closer to dropping the quotes around “vacation.”

What a long way we’ve come in the last two years.
