We all have seen that the family unit has changed in the last twenty-five years. In the last ten years, we have been looking less like the traditional family. I do believe that if we, as parents, guardians, and the village, work together, we can bring back some of the traditional values that influence our children, preparing them for life challenges and success. I am praying and have confidence in the community that we all can work together and embrace all children as our own. Therefore, the United Citizens Community Center and the Town of Heath Springs are partnering with me to have our first community block party, encouraging families to attend as a unit. We will also be combining this event with the annual "OCTOBERFEST". BINGO games will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the United Citizens Center. A professional MAGICIAN, John Tudor, will captivate our minds with magic, introducing us to a world of illusions. This will take place within the block on the stage of Rainbow Enterprise, 105 Badger Street, Heath Springs, SC. We are looking forward to seeing all of you. An afternoon with the family filled with fun, illusions, and food.
