Dear friends,

After many thoughts, prayers, and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our Heber Springs clinic location.

This was not an easy choice, as our Heber Springs families, children, and community have meant so much to us. We are deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us to care for your children through occupational, speech, and physical therapy. It has truly been an honor to be part of your journeys.

While this chapter is closing, our commitment to your children and families remains strong. We will continue to provide services at our other Farris Therapy Clinic locations at Cabot and Greenbrier, and our team is here to support you through this transition to ensure your child’s therapy continues without interruption.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to serve you here in Heber Springs. We have loved being part of this community and will carry these memories with us always.

Our pediatric SLPs help children with:

🌟 Happy Occupational Therapy Month! 🌟

This month, we celebrate the transformative power of Occupational Therapy (OT) and the incredible difference it makes in the lives of children and their families! 💜 At Farris Therapy—Heber Springs we’re honored to be a part of each child’s journey toward developing the skills they need to thrive.

Occupational Therapy plays a key role in helping children build essential daily functional skills, such as:

🔹 Self-care – from learning how to button a shirt to brushing teeth independently.
🔹 School readiness – strengthening fine motor skills for handwriting, cutting with scissors, and using a computer.
🔹 Play skills – engaging in play with peers to improve social skills and creative thinking.

BUT that’s not all! Our pediatric OT services ✨also✨ focus on sensory processing, helping children understand and respond to sensory information in a way that allows them to participate fully in daily life in a safe, appropriate, and effective manner:

🔹 Sensory integration – helping kids process sensory input, whether it’s light, sound, textures, or movement, so they can focus and stay regulated.
🔹 Sensory modulation – teaching strategies to manage overwhelming sensations or seek out sensory input in a safe, appropriate way.

And of course, we focus on emotional regulation, guiding children through strategies that help them:

🔹 Recognize emotions – understanding and identifying their feelings in different situations.
🔹 Coping strategies – learning techniques like deep breathing, grounding exercises, and self-talk to manage frustration, anxiety, and big emotions.
🔹 Self-confidence – developing the resilience to navigate challenges with a positive mindset.

Every child is unique, and OT helps them unlock their full potential in a supportive, individualized way. 🌈 Here’s to our amazing OT team who make a difference every single day!

Update #2: We are making the decision to 🔹close🔹 our Farris Therapy campuses tomorrow, 1/10/25, for the safety of our clients and staff!
