π’ Campaign: Bridge the Gap: Weekend Food Kits
Thayer Kids Academy, Inc. Emergency Outreach
Dear Thayer Kids Academy Families and Community Supporters,
Thayer Kids Academy, Inc. is reaching out to our community to ensure that no child goes hungry due to the recent changes to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.
Many of our families rely on these benefits to provide nutritious meals, and the current changes have created an immediate and critical need for weekend food support. We are asking for your help to bridge this gap and provide our children with Weekend Survival Kits to take home.
Two Simple Ways to Help Our Kids
1. Donate Non-Perishable Food Items (In-Kind)
We have placed a "Care & Comfort" Basket in the Main Entryway for easy, contact-free drop-off.
We kindly request non-perishable items, ideally in individual or easy-to-open packaging for the children's weekend kits.
Most Needed Items for Weekend Kits:
-Protein: Canned tuna/chicken (pop-top), Peanut butter (small jars)
-Grains: Single-serve oatmeal packets, Boxes of Mac & Cheese, Cereal boxes/cups
- Fruit: Fruit cups (in 100% juice), Applesauce pouches/cups
-Easy Meals: Soup/Chili (pop-top cans), Pasta and jarred sauce
-Baby/Toddler Needs: Baby food pouches/jars, Infant formula (shelf-stable)
β‘οΈ Drop-Off Location: Main Entryway Box
β‘οΈ Available: Monday - Friday, 6:30a-6:00p
2. Make a Financial Contribution (Monetary)
Monetary donations give Thayer Kids Academy, Inc. the flexibility to purchase the exact items families need most (like specific formula, fresh produce, or milk).
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your financial gift is tax-deductible!
* $10 provides breakfast and lunch for one child for an entire weekend.
* $25 helps stock our entire "Care & Comfort" Basket for one week.
* $50 supports one family with a full kit of groceries for two weekends.
