We are excited to offer several QPR & Narcan Training opportunities this Winter & Spring! This FREE training will include: The Good Samaritan Law, support information and resources, and warning signs of a su***de crisis and how to respond. Participants will receive a QPR (Question, Persuade, Respond) training booklet and a 2-dose supply of Narcan, an opioid overdose treatment. Dates and times include: Tuesday, 1/20, 6-7:15 pm, Monday, 2/23, 11:30- 12:45 pm, Tuesday, 3/10, 6-7:15 pm,
Tuesday, 4/21, 9:30 – 10:45 am, and Tuesday, 5/12, 6-7:15 pm. A meal will be served at each session! Age 18+ can register at: https://ow.ly/ry5k50XKWxN

Join us for a magical acting class for students grades K-2nd, filled with imagination, laughter, and creative play! Students will explore the captivating world of princesses, knights, and dragons! Through engaging theater games, imaginative activities, and hands-on role-playing—enhanced by Melissa & Doug costumes and Magna-Tiles—kids will build essential acting skills. Our professional instructors will guide young actors in discovering their unique voices, stretching their creative muscles, and unlocking confidence—all while having a blast! Whether your child is a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, this class will ignite their passion for performance and culminate in a special Share Day for family and friends. To top off the fun, we’ll draw inspiration from Dragons Love Tacos, with students embodying larger-than-life characters, expressing emotions, and creating dragon-sized stories—with a little taco-themed twist! Plus, every student will receive a copy of Dragons Love Tacos and celebrate with a special taco party to toast their creativity and accomplishments. We are excited to offer something new through our Health Matters Program -- Learn Macramé! We have partnered with a local macramé artist, Erica Wagner, who will teach participants how to make fun items such as a Keychain/Lanyard on 1/8, a Snail Magnet on 1/27, and a Photo Hanger on 2/26! I appreciate the meaningful work AHM Youth and Family Services does for our community. Their programs strengthen families and create healthier communities.
