Andover Hebron Marlborough Youth Services

Andover Hebron Marlborough Youth Services We are a youth service agency, providing mental health counseling and programs to youth & families.

AHM was founded in 1983 through a grassroots effort of a small group of local residents whose vision was to incorporate and create a regional family focused agency based upon the Youth Services Bureau model found in communities across Connecticut. Over the years, the regional non-profit Youth Services Bureau has served thousands of children and families. AHM is one of over a hundred Youth Service Bureaus (YSBs) statewide. AHM is the parent organization of both a Youth Services Bureau and a Family Resource Center. The agency's comprehensive family focused service delivery system includes the provision of juvenile justice, prevention, mental health, and positive youth development programs for local children, teens and adults.

AHM has work opportunities available for teens age 14-18 years old, through the CHOREs Program! The purpose of the CHOREs Program is for teenagers to help senior citizens with chores on their property such as raking, stacking wood, and weeding. The benefits are great for both senior citizens and teenagers! Senior citizens have chores completed at no charge, while teenagers age 14-18 earn the minimum wage per billable hour for contract work up to two hours per job. Teens will earn a letter of recommendation for active involvement in the program, and learn communication, scheduling and time-management skills! A win-win!
