The Judy Heumann Academy The Judy Heumann Academy is an inclusive learning center.

Our core program specializes in functional academics for students of all abilities, including those with moderate to high needs due to various disabilities. The Judy Heumann Academy came to fruition after a group of moms came together for coffee and talked of dreams for their children to attend a school where they would be accepted and treated with kindness.

The Judy Heumann Academy had its very first end-of-year party and we are looking forward to many more celebrations. This year we are grateful for inclusion and all the joy it brings to our kids.

The Judy Heumann Academy is happy to announce that we have been able to open our doors to a few students. We have been working really hard to set up our center for our students while simultaneously trying to meet code enforcement requirements. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it! Check out all we have done! A special thanks to The RePurpose Place in Chesterton, IN for donating these tables to our school where academic excellence takes place and to Roxy the Paint Lady for donating the paint to bring them to fab! (PS we haven’t painted them yet 😉) And a thank you to Victorious Prestige for donating the bean bags, our reading nook is super cozy now! Thank you to so many people who helped us along the way, especially our family members and friends who sacrificed time and offered support along the way to success! While we aren’t officially “open” to new students, we are in operation! I am so grateful!
