Just received this email from Windstream. Appears it is a widespread outage. So not sure how long the phones will continue to be a problem.

We are still having problems with our phone line. I will do my best to try and return your call if it shows up on our caller ID. I have reached out to Windstream and still wait in on them to help get to the bottom of the problem. We are having trouble with our phone line. We can call out, but some incoming calls are coming through and others don’t connect. If you call and it doesn’t connect I will try and call you back from the number on the caller id. We are working with Windstream to get the problem fixed.
