Even God said fruit is good for you! šŸ˜†
His fruit is much better than our fruit, though. Remember the holy spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Trick or Treat!
Here are some Halloween Tips and Tricks:
-Feed them first. Don’t let the kids trick-or-treat on an empty stomach. This will prevent them from overeating the candy on Halloween night
-Inspect the candy. Discard unwrapped or opened candies and w**d out choking hazards for small children (gum, hard candy).
-Set some ground rules. Let your child know how much candy he/she is able to eat on Halloween night.
-Assess the stash. Know how much candy your child has collected so you can determine your strategy and gauge how quickly the pile is diminishing. If the pile is diminishing at a reasonable rate you can relax. If not, you may want to intervene.
-Store candy in the kitchen. Don’t let your child store candy in his or her bedroom where the temptation to dip in may be too great.
-Part of the fun of Halloween is trading candy. Put a twist on and consider ā€œtradingā€ him a nickel, dime or quarter (you pick your price point) for every piece he’s/she’s willing to give up.
-Provide choices. Halloween should be fun for everybody, including children who can’t have candy due to allergies or health problems. For children who can’t have candy, try substituting acceptable treats or find a family-friendly alternative to trick-or-treating, such as a corn maze or haunted house.
-Model behavior. If you want your kids to practice moderation you need to do so as well.

Fall is HERE!
What is your favorite fall activity? Here at Essential Living, LLC we love going for walks in the crisp morning air. And maybe enjoy a pumpkin spice latte or two. If you love pumpkin spice, here is a latte recipe for you to try.
Ingredients for Pumpkin Latte:
ā…” cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or skim milk
1½ tablespoons canned pumpkin
1 package sugar substitute, such as Stevia or Splenda
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
½ cup strong brewed hot coffee, make your favorite
Ingredients for Topping:
Dash of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon
Instructions:
In a saucepan, using a whisk, mix together almond milk, pumpkin, sugar substitute and heat on medium heat, stirring constantly, until steaming. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and pumpkin pie spice. Transfer to a blender and process for 15 seconds until foamy. If you don’t have a blender, don’t worry about it. Just whisk the mixture continuously with a wire whisk until foamy.
Pour into a large mug. Add hot coffee on top. Sprinkle with a dash of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon, if desired.
Drink immediately.

Leftover vegetables are perfect for a pizza. Red bell peppers, eggplant, and zucchini were all roasted and then put on a whole wheat pizza crust with pesto for the sauce and low-fat mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. What do you do with your leftover vegetables?
